I love that this comic takes place in the Clone Wars era. My favorite Star Wars comics were the ones that are now Legends that took place during this era. Depa Billaba is featured in this book and its so cool to see her interacting with Kanan. Depa doing the tests blindfolded was really cool.There is a lot of action in this book. The art style is perfect for it.Of course, there are references to other Star Wars characters. Rae Sloane!!! And I thought I saw the younglings from the Clone Wars tv show, but I may have been mistaken. The crew of Rebels also appears and they are drawn more realistic.I give this book a 4/5. I definitely recommend it to Star Wars fans of the tv shows Clone Wars and Rebels.
I never expected this to be one of my favorite comics but it really is, Kanan is such an interesting character and volume 2 is just as great as volume one. I'm not actually the biggest Star Wars Rebels fan but if there's one thing about it I do like it's the characters and Kanan has honestly become one of my new favorites in the Star Wars universe because of this comic
Volume 1 was better but only because I thought they ended this a little soon. I think Marvel gave the green light to this series only to cancel it a couple issues in. With that said it was a great continuation from volume one. It gives even more back story to Kanan! Great comic.
Overall a solid collection with far more of the Rebels than the first. That volume felt complete though, which leaves this tale feeling like an addendum, albeit one crafted by the talented Greg Weisman.
I really like Star Wars Rebels TV Show and season 2 was awesome and Kanan is my favourite character in the series and I am very enjoying reading his comic I would definitely request you to read it the only part that mad me sad that it only lasted 2 volumes I wish there was more :(
I really enjoyed this series. It had a story, developing characters, and emotional depth. My only hang up with it is that it seemed somewhat short and the action scenes where not shown in as much detail as I would have liked. Still, it is a great story, and together with The Last Padawan Volume 1, fills in some of the gaps of Kanan Jarruus' past. I recommend it for anyone who is a fan of either Rebels or the Clone Wars.
As I continue to fill in the gaps of the new Star Wars canon, I am completely emerged in the characters and the relationships they have with another. This is a great back story that fits with New Dawn and leads to the hit tv show Star Wars Rebels.
I am a huge SW Rebels fan. What a great read, beautiful artwork/design and a definitely interesting story about a character that I truly enjoy. MARVEL outdid themselves. Don't miss it!
