This is another fantastic cookbook from Jacques Pepin, with enough detail, room for improvisation, and simple decadence to make you want to dog ear page after page. My daughter and I have also been watching the videos that accompany many of the recipes. She's excited about the food, but she really loves the animated chickens that pop up every so often. It's sitting at our dining room table so we can flip through it over breakfast in the mornings. We love it.

This book is filled with new and different recipes that are kid friendly and easy to make, plus most kids would probably love to eat. It is filled with great pictures taken by Jacques' friend Tom, and some illustrations by Jacques. There are web sites listed in the book to take you to videos that Jacques and Shorey made showing how to do the techniques and prepare the recipes. Plus there are illustrations on how to do fun things like fold napkins, set the table, etc, that any child with a sense of fun in the kitchen would love. You really feel like part of the Pepin family's inner circle when you lose yourself in this book.

What a marvelous book. So many good (and easy to prepare) recipes. I'm buying copies for every single child in my life--nieces, nephews and granddaughters. Thank you Jacques and Shorey.

A Grandfather( Grandmothers too) that likes to cook must have this book. It helps that I have been a fan of Chef Pepin for as long as I can remember. He taught me how to cook. I added this book to my collection because I have them all. Thank you Chef for all the years of enjoyment and teaching. Thank you Shorey for growing up to be such a lovely young lady who loves her grandfather. Oh thank you Gloria for your linguine and clam sauce. Since I live in Rhode Island I use that recipe often. I cook with my grandson often and of course he thinks his Papa is the best. What a wonderful book.

This book is so special. For those of us who cook with our grandchildren it's a perfect pairing. You can tell there is a sweet relationship of grandfather and granddaughter. Recipes, art, and thoughts are joys.

Just a delightful book. My daughters (7yo and 4yo) have made several recipes together already. Easy to use but creative and flavourful.

Gift for a niece who loves to cook. Wonderful book. Chef Pepin is such a warm, natural human being, and it shows i sharing his craft with his granddaughter.
