About the Author

Robert Lee Frost was born in San Francisco in 1874. When he was ten, his father died and he and his mother moved to New England. He attended school at Dartmouth and Harvard, worked in a mill, taught, and took up farming, before he moved to England, where his first books of poetry, A Boy’s Will (1913) and North of Boston (1914), were published. North of Boston brought him recognition as the preeminent voice of New England and as one of America’s major poets. In 1915 he returned to the United States and settled on a farm in New Hampshire. Four volumes of his poetry, New Hampshire (1923), Collected Poems (1930), A Further Range (1936), and A Witness Tree (1942) were all awarded the Pulitzer Prize. He died in 1963.Susan Jeffers is the illustrator of such distinguished picture books as Three Jovial Huntsmen, a Caldecott Honor book; Rachel Field's Hitty; and the ABBY Award-winning Brother Eagle, Sister Sky, which was also a New York Times besteller. She lives in New York.

great book, the description doesn't really make clear that this little books is really a sort of a kids edition with only this poem in it and illustrations for each line on each page.

This is my go-to baby shower gift; Frost’s evocative poem is appreciated by children, and the illustrations (for my tastes) really capture the magic of that sacred moment. This was the first poem my son memorized. This beautiful little book opened the door for an appreciation for poetry that persists in his teenage years. Also, this book is a gift that the bigger kids in the family can enjoy and even read to the little ones.

My favorite poem since I was a kid (now 75), it's in a beautifully illustrated book. Every kid should have a copy of this poem and keep it forever......... or hand it down to their kids..

This particular poem is my favorite Robert Frost poem, and is one of my top five favorite poems. I was hoping that this book would portray the simple beauty and nuances of this poem, to read to my granddaughter. It more than met my expectations. Even my husband, who is a photographer and who doesn't read as much as I do, found the artwork in this book to convey beautifully the words of Frost's poem.This poem was not intended for children, and has many facets to it. But good poetry must be taught and appreciated early, and this book will help parents and teachers to show appreciation for poetry. If it doesn't start with the parents and teachers, then the children are never exposed to it.Whenever I read this poem, and now this book, it conveys a sense of peace, a sense of being quiet, of learning to look for the beauty in the world around you. I remember this poem from 4th grade (I am now 40). Even to this day, I could recite the 1st four lines and I haven't read the poem since 4th grade....until now. I now have a 3 yr old daughter and am searching for books to read to her above her age level. Seeking to introduce her to various subjects, authors, etc. Remembering this poem, I went specifically in search of it and found this book. I LOVE it! And so does my daughter. I love the gentleness of the illustrations, the little splash of color and the quietness it offers. My daughter loves the color, the horse and various animals, and, as any child does, searching for the hidden animals in some of the pages. When we sit and read this book, it's not just a one time reading. It's at least 4 times. I highly recommend this book not just for the literary benefit, but also for the little bit of quiet snuggling time you get........What can be better than that?

Susan Jeffer's illustrations are always delightful. I purchased the hardcover edition and was disappointed by how little the book is. I neglected to check it's measurements. Perhaps the paperback edition is larger.

This is such a gorgeous book. My daughter fell in love with poetry when she was very little, I'm sure this book had a part in that. She wanted it for her son for Christmas. Because it's re-released in a hardcover format (with a beautiful slip cover) I'm sure it will become a family heirloom. Books are heirlooms in our family!

They got rid of the copies of this book at my school when we upgraded to the newer version. While I feel the text is often not challenging enough in both versions, the newer edition took out many of the more challenging cases relating to race, homelessness, business liability, etc. I felt those cases and the subsequent discussions would be of use to my students, so I bought one copy so I could add back in those discussions. Why they took them out of the newer editions makes no sense to me. Law discussions should challenge how we live in our society and the cases in the edition do.

The textbook came in almost new condition it was beautiful. Almost like it was never even used. The text is very detailed and is really good for classroom readings. Down to earth law textbook on EVERYTHING law. Not alot of focus on one topic, its a great overview.

I give this book a three star for capturing an unremarkable and phenomenal African American continuation of the adventures of stardom. The book ‘For The Love of Money’ by Omar Tyree follows Tracy Ellison through her experience From hard-knocks Philly to glamorous Hollywood. Now twenty-eight years old, Tracy returns to the East Coast in order to connect with her roots. As a successful author (of a novel called Flyy Girl, an interaction the author gives between the characters and audience), TV and screenwriter, and rising movie actress, she begins to take a closer look at her fame, fortune and heart, addressing the uncertainties of her youth. Feeling exposed in the grounds of her hood, stirs up a string of difficult questions about past loves, ambivalent family ties, and her artistic ambitions. She tries to act unaffected by her success, but family, friends, and acquaintances relate to her differently now that she is seen on a different level. Tracy "struggles" to get a hot movie part while trying to lure author Omar Tyree to help her write the sequel to Flyy Girl. Tyree may turn off some readers with his occasional references to himself and his success throughout the narrative along with Tracy’s cliche poetry. But I couldn’t help but feel that I learned much while on Tracy's adventures which provide cool commentary on ambition, love, friendship and the price of fame. Her story is uplifting and intended to give a positive picture of stardom, money, and family where young adult readers are supposed to learn how wonderful money and fame can be if you keep your head on straight.

This re-issue is so impressive. The casebound book is gorgeous, the new liner notes and comments from Tracey and Ben give you a more personal insight into the record. This re-issue is worth it just for those minor things, but what really makes this AMAZING is the bonus disc of extra songs. B-Sides, Rarities, Non-Album singles, Demos, Live and Alternate versions make all Four of EBTG's albums with Sire (Blanco Y Negro) any collector's "must have" item.Love not Money contain's the single When All's Well as well as standout tracks like Are You Trying To Be Funny, This Love (Not For Sale) and Ballad of the Times. however, as much as I love this album, people who like EBTG from their Dance stuff from the 90's (Missing, Walking Wounded, Tempermental) Might not like this. The style is more Folk, Indie and not full of throbbing beats. Tracey's vocals are more raw and there is a real edge to this album. I love it, but then again I have been a fan for a long time!

Horrible. It did not seem like it was a sequel. So many unanswered questions from Fly Girl. I expected more but was disappointed.

I read this book about 15 years ago, I can't remember the plot line, but I will give it 3 stars.

From the first book Fly girl Tracy is now a grow women.. The book flip flops on time lines but she grows into the big movie star. She quit her job as a teacher and just leaped out on faith and mad it... I must say.. this girl has Hustle...I love women like tracy for some men would be intimidated by a women as such class.. It turns me on. This is a very good book, for it took me by suprise I must say.

I bought this book knowing it was going to be as good as Flyy Girl, but I was wrong. It's so BORING! I'm trying to keep reading it thinking it will get better, but so far NO LUCK. I regret buying it and I wish I would've listened to the previous readers. Take it from me: Don't buy this book! You will be bored to death UGH

I am a solo backpacking traveler--more than 24 third-world countries on four continents. Two of my sojourns have been to Africa and so I understood well the trials and tribulations of Grant--the reasons for his choosing his route and destinations and the inevitable discombobulated nature of his trip. I know full well that no travel in Africa is ever linear, coherent or predictable no matter how well thought out or planned. For some unfathomable reason it is the nature of Africa, as no other place in the world, to confound those who visit and stymy those who search for answers there to grand questions and attempts to glean its soul.What happened to Grant also happened to me and countless others. Prior to going there, after extensive research on my intended route, I thought I knew what to expect but once there I immediately found myself adrift in a completely alien world with no direction and no way home. My mind was constantly enveloped in a fog as if I were in a dream-- I was unable to think clearly and found myself always trapped in the present with no consciousness of past or future--and so I drifted from one event to the next-- never knew where I would find myself next--never knew where I should go or what I should do. I might have been there forever but as all dreams end, so too did my stay there. How I managed to hang onto enough sanity, reason and strength to do what I had to do to leave I do not know. Grant's experience seemed to mirror mine in all respects--incoherent, discombobulated and without direction. Any third world vagabond would enjoy and identify with his account and recognize it as authentic.The quote I most liked was Grant's reference to Raymond Aron's thought that "Optimism is usually the effect of an intellectual error." How true--particularly in Africa. A thoroughly organized and linear story, as it is thought most good books should be, it was not--but it was refreshingly real.It is true that Africa is the most beautiful, most intriguing, most spellbinding, place on Earth and once you've been there you will always return---but Africa will, in the end, break your heart."And There I Was" by DH Koester

Okay, now that I've gone on record on Amazon about how actively I disliked Julian Smith's Crossing the Heart of Africa — an award winner? really ? — I feel it only right to explain exactly WHY I enjoyed Crazy River so much. Comparing the two, to me, is like comparing Paul Theroux with a college undergraduate essaying his way through first-year creative writing.Grant is acerbic, witty and a keen observer of human nature. I have traveled extensively in Tanzania and on Zanzibar; Grant got Zanzibar spot on. And not a romanticized, 19th century version of Zanzibar, either, but Zanzibar as it is in 2015.Grant has an expedition in mind — he's quite up-front about how quickly his plans fall apart, and his own shortcomings as a would-be explorer. Even though his plans fall apart, though, he stays on a linear course. Crazy River has a genuine beginning, middle and a real end. That ending, in Rwanda, following a face-to-face sit-down interview with Rwandan president Paul Kagame, immediately after being overwhelmed at the genocide memorial in Kigali, reads both true and profound, and is not at all what you might expect.I cannot overemphasize how much I enjoyed Crazy River, and how much I appreciated being taken on Grant's journey with him. And make no mistake: This book is so sharp, so keenly observed, so well-written, so fascinating in every respect, that as a reader you are genuinely there with him, every step of the way.I know a little bit of Africa. Not much, just what I've seen with my own eyes and experienced myself. I know people — expats and locals both — who live in Tanzania, Kenya and other countries, and have either chosen to make East and Central Africa their home, or have lived there all their lives.For me, Crazy River captures this corner of Africa exactly as it is, today, right now, in this day and time. It's neither an optimistic nor a pessimistic view. Rather, it feels simply . . . honest.I haven't read any of Grant's other work. Based on this book alone, though, he strikes me as mad talented.

Grant is a very witty writer. His journey through Tanzania was fascinating and frequently funny. Once he is in Rwanda, things turn to a far more serious level, with discussions about the genocide of the early 90's. His interview with President Paul Kigane was very thorough and inspired me to read much more about this fascinating multi-layered president. Some call him a benevolent tyrant who is also ultimately responsible for the deaths of thousands, all in the interest of preserving the government and protecting thousands of its citizens.This is a book well worth reading, especially if one is planning to visit Africa, which I am. I also have started reading some of Richard Grant's other books.

The book in itself is ok but there are a lot of spelling errors in chapter 9 and 10. There is 2 projects in this book. The first one seems complete but the 2nd one in chapter 10 tells you what parts your going to need. The parts list does not have the values of the potentiometer or the value of the resistor to use. There by making the project useless. This book is aimed at the beginner so I would think a proof reader should have been used to make sure there are no mistakes or omissions.

This book is great if you want to build small and basic electronic projects. Not great if you don't have the parts to build them. Great examples of source code for use in the Arduino program and shows you how to use it for the example projects or for any projects. Overall, I liked it very much.

It's good to know everything about arduino and other additional you can add on your arduino project.As such beginners should probably start with a book geared more toward beginners as this book is directed toward intermediate to advanced users.

This well constructed guide book contained information about arduino to guide you to begins your own projects. Hence, the author has mentioned step by step instructions for easy understanding, reliable tips and tricks, and working with arduino process.

Author generalized every aspect discussed. Much overuse of word "obvious" when nothing was obvious.

This book is very good . Author telsl very clearly about arduino step by step . i recommended to all my friends .

There is very little content in this book. The projects have no illustrations and this book hasn't even been proof read! There are spelling mistakes throughout the book. Get yourself a different guide than this.

This is a great book that is geared for the novice programmer. Easy to understand and will answer so many of your newbie questions in a way you could understand. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to dabble or become serious with their programming in the future.

A great cookbook from London with gorgeous photos. Recipe measurements are in metric, so for us U.S. citizens it makes for a test in conversions.

I read about this book in one of my magazines & bought three. Two for family & one for myself. Looking forward to using it. Recipe photos are bright & colorful.

Overall this is a very attractive book however there were two basic problems with making their pizza recipe at home. First is on page 14 where the Yeast Version of the pizza dough is outlined. To make 640g dough it says to use 250ml lukewarm water, 0.2g dry yeast, 1 desertspoon olive oil, 380g flour, 10g salt. That seems like a lot of salt (10g) and a tiny amount of dry yeast (0.2g). The amount of yeast is so small that it can't possibly be right, can it? I'm happy to stand corrected if 0.2g is correct but then I'd like to know how you can measure 0.2g of dry yeast easily in the home kitchen. As a result, I ditched the book and went back to using my old pizza dough recipe. The other thing is that the authors suggest leaving the dough in an ambient temperature of 20-25 (degrees)C for 16-18 hours. This would be ok to do in a pizza restaurant but in the home situation in a cooler climate, how could this be achieved without heating the house to the required temperature for that period of time? In short, those two problems with the basic pizza dough recipe really detracted from what is a wonderfully produced book.
