The book is supposedly written for those who have an understanding of PowerShell. I did read a handful of chapters in an introduction prior to jumping into this, but this is very well presented and made setting, securing up and managing my instance of S3 and EC2 servers a breeze. You will save yourself hours of searching (even if you're good at it) and it will cover things that the hunt and peck searches simply don't touch on. Over the course of a weekend I was able to set-up and implement everything I needed. Highly recommend.

I found Brian's work to be extremely helpful as both an introduction to Amazon Web Services and specifically using Windows PowerShell to elastically control the AWS cloud environment. By working each of the examples given in the book over the course of a month, along with taking the CBT Nuggets courses on AWS, I was able to pass the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Level exam.

The book is exactly what I wanted. Direct to the point, several good examples for real use cases and the instructions are well written.I recommend this book to any Windows guys (like me) that are going to work with AWS. The time you will save makes it worth every penny.

I'm new to AWS and I was searching for decent book to learn and practice AWS powershell. Following the advice of other reviewers, I purchased this book. The book is very well written, very detailed and yet very "easy reading". I strongly recommend this book and I believe it's a essential book in order to get good understanding and practice of AWS powershell.

Very detailed and covers a lot of material with lots of examples. Was hoping that it would cover Beanstalk, but nothing on this.

Let me start with holy hotness!! Hot alpha hero and a smart sexy virgin heroine. One perfect night. A surprise baby. Ohhh yeah I love this short story and am so happy that MK Moore has released it as a stand alone. A Very short must read!

I'm afraid its a sad reflection on the dearth of good literature about contemporary Armenia that this book is probably the best English-language guidebook for the country (the Lonely Planet guide being only useful for, say, propping up a wobbly leg on a coffee table). I'm surprised the other reviewers think it's so great - unless of course (a) they're related to the authors - and I suspect many of them probably hail from a certain part of California !) or (b) they don't expect much from their books. Sure, it's got great pictures (but for this readers should buy the authors' excellent Out of Stone book). But the info on Armenia is dreadfully thin, with little or no background info on most of the wonderful historical monuments and churches that dot Armenia. Fascinating and beautiful monasteries, chapels etc get casual one-line mentions: nothing about the immense history these monuments have, and the great stories that surround more or less every ancient building in Armenia. There's hardly any maps, and infuriatingly there's no index to the book! Having just spent eight days driving around Armenia (albeit with an excellent local guide) I have to say that the volume is too insubtantial to qualify as a proper guidebook. Armenia is such an amazing, beautiful and historic place it deserves a detailed, well researched and professional guide in its own right (and not just an annex to the Brandt Georgia one). I hope someone soon will step up and produce this kind of book. I give it three stars just for the photos.

This is a delightful little book. I just couldn't put it down when I first got it! My husband and I had been quite anxious about making our first trip to Armenia and Karabagh this year, and the advice in the book really eased our minds by letting us know what to expect when we got there. Just KNOWING what to expect was such a help especially for someplace so far-off like Armenia. The advice about getting around and just getting by on a daily basis was very practical. And it's an easy read. As pertains history and facts about ancient churches and so-forth, it only skimmed the surface but we didn't really expect a scholarly treatise about religious history and architecture, so we weren't disappointed. Still, a bit more "trivia" would have been welcome. We were thrilled to see so such thorough coverage of Karabagh, but would have liked to have seen more information about Echmiadzin (the "Vatican of Armenia"!) and Gyumri. I suggest reading parts of the history book "Looking Toward Ararat," (by Suny) and another one called "Rediscovering Armenia" (authored by Kiesling), which was sort of an encyclopedia of historical monuments and quite detailed (although a bit of a mish-mash and difficult to read). We also had the Lonely Planet book which we thought was just dreadful.

I already own the First Edition of this book which was published in 2001, but I bought the Second Edition which just came out so that I can have the latest version for my next trip. The biggest changes I noticed are that the Second Edition added a phrases section and a full index. There are also more pages in the new version, with some extra details on the tourist spots. I can see that the listings are updated, too, with information about new hotels and even a new airline. My biggest criticism of the new edition is that most of the photographs are the same as from the first edition. Also, a fold-out map would have been nice. Otherwise, I would say that the Second Edition for 2002 did a good job of building on the First and I am glad I bought it.

I used this book when I went to Armenia in August. It's a very good book to read before you go because there is a lot of background information in addition to all the usual hotel and restaurant listings and etc. The pictures were really good so I saved the book after my trip. I would say the best part was on Karabagh. This is the only book I have ever found that has any good travel information on Karabagh. I carried it around everywhere and I would definitely recommend it to buy.

The book arrived very quickly, and it is in like new condition. It is a fantastic book for a beginner gardener like myself. It is a big book, with 271 pages, and a lot of color photos. The book is easy to read, and very informative.

Quite educative and concise.

As a child, I lived in Indiana, and I've lived all over since. Shawna Coronado's book brought some old memories back of grandma's house and some of the very special flowers she had all around her yard. Joe-Pye weed, lily of the valley...even those towering catalpas with their long beans hanging down. The pictures in the book reminded me of summers at the farm. I especially loved the "Try These" tips at the end of each listing--just like your next door neighbor talking over the fence about what had worked best for them. She writes in an appealing, easy style that gets her point across without being too jargony. I know it says "Indiana", but I'd guess Ohio and Pennsylvania have similar climates, and this book's suggestions could work there too! Enjoyed it very much.

Author Shawna Coronado is an experienced gardener who shares her practical and pretty information with Indiana gardeners. This helpful book explains crucial gardening basics often overlooked in gardening books.. All gardeners will appreciate clear instructions on how to install a rain barrel, how to figure out what kind of soil you have on your property and how to conduct your own soil percolation (drainage) test.This useful guide lists annuals, perennials, vines, shrubs and trees that will grow well in Indiana. As a native plant specialist and a pollinator and beneficial insect supporter I very much appreciate the author's inclusion of a perennial wildflower and native grasses section!

This book outlines and directs even the beginner to gardening success. The instructions are clear and concise and the photographs are beautiful! Well done, Shawna Coronado! Rather than just an encyclopedia of plants suitable to the Indiana climate, the author Shawna Coronado begins by giving you a glimpse into her own garden as she tells you how she has grown from the child playing in the dirt to the adult whose personal gardening philosophy is to celebrate nature and share it with others. The main text is a well laid out reference with tips on companion planting and design as well as regional advice and includes almost 200 plants. Highly recommended.

Funny memoirs are my favorite kind of book and that's why I loved Amy's first book, The Amy Binegar-Kimmes-Lyle Book of Failures. Her new book doesn't disappoint. We're All a Mess, It's Ok is about her friend's "failures" and funny/wacky stories. There's something strangely comforting about reading other people's silly mishaps so you know you're not the only one that gets into sticky situations. We all have bad days sometimes. Life is truly funnier than fiction! But mostly, I just love to hear people's stories and real life comedy situations. Humans make me laugh!p.s. This book is a great gift!

This book is a collection of quick stories gathered from Amy's friends and social circle. If you have a friend feeling bad about themselves, this is the perfect gift! I can guarantee you, someone is going through something mortifying, embarrassing or laugh out loud funny. This was a gift for my friend, she loved it. The only thing was that the corners of the book were a little bent, I didn't have time to return it and get a new one so I kept it, that is why my rating is a 4 and not a 5.

For $20 I expected this to be a hardback book, but it's not.

Would give less stars if possible. Adding a character name to a tequila sunrise does not make it a new drink. Honestly so shameful and pathetic.

Bought this gift for my sister for her birthday, much cuter than anticipated. There were picture on every recipe, some were generic recipes, some were unique recipes, but all of them had cute little quotes relating the drink to the book.
